John shared with us his top maintenance tips when it comes to your roof – which are dependent on materials used and the weather.
- Be sure to have a professional inspect your roof every 5-10 years to get ahead of any potential issues
- Roofs need maintenance as things wear out! Caulk has a 6-8 year life span
- There are a lot of nails on your roof, all of which can cause a leak
What might cause a roof replacement? The loss of granules. The roof granules are what help reflect the sun and protect against damage. Curling shingles, as these can cause water to seep into the roof. Tar seals can fail causing leaks or even the shingles to be blown off the roof.
