This year we are looking to give back to the community with People In Need of Delaware County. People In Need is a social services agency dedicated to providing emergency assistance to Delaware County residents.
People In Need, or PIN, started in the basement of a church 40 years ago and has the largest food pantry in Delaware County. They grew from serving 50 people a year to over 451,000 meals this past year. Along with food pantry services, they provide emergency services. Last December they were serving 400 households a week with their food pantry!
Outside of providing the food pantry, PIN helps those in need of assistance with prescriptions, medical and dental care, mortgage assistance and utility disconnections. Should they not be able to meet a particular need, they reach out to the community who come together and assist.
Their Holiday Clearing House started in 1954 – This year they will be serving 484 families in addition to 211 senior households. Their assistance will include holiday meals, toys, and household needs like blankets and toiletries, creating a worry free holiday for people in need.
The Ryan Reynolds Team is hosting a donation drive this month to benefit People in Need. Check out the list below for the most crucial items needed. You can drop off directly at our office at 5400 Frantz Road in Dublin.
