Smelly, unkempt garbage bins are the perfect home for small critters such as mice. Heading into the winter months with clean garbage bins can help prevent this from happening. Cleaning your garbage bins is easy – just squirt some dishwashing liquid into the bin and use the spray attachment on your hose to wash it down. Let the bin air dry before storing trash inside. If your bins need to be scrubbed, use a scrub brush first and then spray out the soap and debris. Powdered tide and hot water also works wonders on dirt and grime – odd we know, but trust us, it works!
