Local Things To Do – October Edition

It is officially October! Here is what’s happening in and around Columbus this month. What are you doing to celebrate spooky season?

Local Farmers’ Market – Check out any of these spots for a taste of central Ohio’s high-quality meats, grains, cheeses, vegetables, fruits and SO much more.

Metro Parks – There are 19 different parks on over 27,000 acres of land to choose from, and they offer a lot of events and activities throughout the year.

Bridge Park – More than a destination! Stay up-to-date with all things Bridge Park.

Franklinton Fridays – Head to Franklinton on the second Friday of every month, 7-11PM, to enjoy art shows, theatre, brews and food. Explore the entertainment Franklinton has to offer. Head to the area a little early to take a walk along the Scioto Mile!

Short North Gallery Hop – Head downtown and hang out in the Short North for Gallery Hop. Activities start as early as 1PM.

Boo At The Zoo – “Lighthearted Halloween fun without the fright”. You can visit the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium for Boo At The Zoo October 1-3. 8-10, 15-17, 22-24, and 29-31. Friday hours are 5-9pm, Saturdays 10am-9pm and Sundays 10am-5pm

ZOMBIEzi Bay – Zoombezi Bay has been transformed into ZOMBIEzi Bay this fall! You can visit ZOMBIEzi Bay Thursdays from 6-10pm, Fridays and Saturdays 6pm-12am, and Sundays 6-10pm through October 31st. *Not recommended for children under the age of 13 because “at Zombiezi Bay, the nightmares are real”.
